Mr.A.Gnanasekaran
The Founder of ANNAI TRUST Mr.A.Gnanasekaran is an active Social Reformer and Geologist by Profession. Since 1991, he himself committed to the uplift of socially and economically disadvantaged Communities both in rural and urban areas.He founded ANNAI TRUST to reform Social and Economical differences in the society through mobilizing human resources for development of Natural Resources Management for Socio Economic upliftment. Various community development projects are carried out for the development of poor and disadvantaged in Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka Pudhucherry and Bihar states in India.



Establishment of ANNAI


    A team of active young geologists hailed from Trichirapalli district realized the grave situation of environmental degradation through over exploitation of ground water, Sanitation situation, deforestation and water contamination through Industrialization leads to socio economic problems among rural poor, and urban slum population in order to address these issues ANNAI was established. Like-minded were enrolled as members and subscription were collected for the activities of the association.
For legal entity, ANNAI registered under Indian Trust Act 1882 and also registered in Income Tax act and having 12AA and 80G of income tax act and registered in FCRA in the Ministry of Home Affairs in Government of India-New Delhi. It is committed for the development of poor and disadvantaged. ANNAI has been approved as a "Key Resource Center" in the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Govt. of India, New Delhi. We are mainly focusing on water and environmental sanitation sector. We are one of the leading professional organizations in executing sustainable Water and Sanitation projects in 7 states in India since 1999.

Our methodology for implementing WASH activities is demand creation through community approaches with updated sanitation technology and techniques. We have trained team and relevant IEC materials to approach the beneficiary to change their mindset for ensuring usage and maintenance.


ANNAI working towards Sustainable Global Development Goals..

      ANNAI Trust has been committed and will leave no stone unturned to achieve sustainable development goals. Since its inception in the year 1999, ANNAI has been putting its purest efforts for betterment of community and environment in one or many ways. This could be easily correlated with some of the laudable initiatives taken in collaboration with national as well as international agencies. Some of the initiatives are self-explanatory and gives the glimpse of ANNAI dedication towards achievement of Sustainable Development goals.

    ANNAI Trust with the support of Central social welfare board, New Delhi, organized awareness camps for rural poor. Also several livelihood promotion projects including agriculture, SHGs formation, microfinancing, alternate livelihood etc . were successfully completed for poverty reduction
    Good Health and wellbeing-several health's related programs like awareness and education on STD/ HIV/ AIDS / TB -Akshaya etc. were done. Also the health of children was taken special care through integration of WASH and Nutrition issues. Similarly the adolescent health has been the priority area of concern for ANNAI Trust
    To increase the school attendance and illuminating the light of education programs like school WASH, evening schools etc were executed.
    Gender equality has been the focus of ANNAI trust and it treated the women empowerment and equal right of girls with special care.
    Clean Water and Sanitation-several programs on water and sanitation including institutional sanitations were completed successfully.
